We prefer not to negotiate. After all, it means making concessions. We are better off if we can prevent doing negotiations.
But sometimes we have to. For those situations, it is important to understand that there are various negotiation styles. That's not only true for you, but also for your negotiation partner.
Most people have difficulties to negotiate with somebody who is very rigid. These are the negotiators that are locked in a position, don't want to make concessions, are not open to alternatives, use their power and are not very friendly.
